Covering Up in Style: Guest Post by Shea Rasol
We’ve all seen and witness the fashion week scene going on across New York, London, Milan and Paris with sheer amazement. With every piece of clothing designed and made to perfection, one must really go oohh and aahh while seeing the models on the runway.
What’s astonishing is that, these Spring 2013 RTW pieces come in various modest styles that a hijabi could forever be inspired to try them out in a less splurging way. This is that time of the year where you can start digging up your closet, and play mix and match with reference to what the current trends are in. Don’t throw away those investment pieces that you have. For trend recycles, and the next thing you’ll know is, that pair of overalls might just come back as a stylish piece you’ll be just so relieved you didn’t chuck it away.
Fashion is a language where everyone can speak, despite where you come from. So, being inspired by the modest Western styles is not a bad thing as long as modesty is your key focus when heading out the door.
Here are some styles notes compiled from the recent Spring 2013 fashion runway preview.
