To Mama & Ayah
Salaam Mama & Ayah,
Here’s a letter from your daughter reminding you what you’re worth and what you mean to her in this world because sometimes, some words just prefer to be on paper rather than on the tongue. Everyday has been a reminder, this breath I take while I carve these words of love for the both of you is also reminding me that it does not belong to me, for it can be taken away when my time is due and I do not wish for that to happen without bringing a realization of your worth in my life at any point.
Nurturing me, is almost like creating another being of your own attributes and Alhamdulillah, I can never be more thankful for such beautiful parents He Has given me.
Mama, your steadfastness and strength in overcoming the various struggles since you were a child have always brought to me a sense of gratefulness for all the love, warmth and sacrifices that you are always ready to make and give. My love, care and concern for you is perhaps no match for what you have for your children. Each time you comfort me with the same pair of hands that have aged through this life of uncertainty and have nurtured me with health and happiness, I pray in my heart that He comforts you just like how you comfort me.
[pullquote_left]Remember that each time you feel that sink in your heart, you have a daughter who’s grown to become who she is, because of you.[/pullquote_left]
You are the soul of inspiration in my life, always encouraging me to proceed with acts of humanity and to perfect this wave of faith in my heart. Please be strong, and remember that each time you feel that sink in your heart, you have a daughter who’s grown to become who she is, because of you. May you receive blessings and rewards from the deeds that He has accepted from me, Ameen.
Ayah, your love is like a comforting silence. Very often it is portrayed through your humble actions than through words, and it never fails to make me quiver in tears, thinking about the depth of your love through them. Mama speaks wonders of you and tells me the outstanding capabilities and qualities in you, for you’d rather remain silent than speak about yourself. For a man who has been offered the various lures of this world but yet remain firm and upright on his principles to lead a simple life and not be disillusioned… you are amazing, Ayah. Despite being well-aware of the comforts the wealth of this Dunya can bring, you chose a life that would keep your ground and remind yourself of your role on His Earth.

May your humility allow your rank to be raised by Him and may you always find comfort in the live of your children, Ayah. Ameen.
Mama& Ayah, I love you. & I want you to remember that whatever difference I wish to make in this life as a Muslim, or have made with Allah’s Will & Grace, is all because of the difference you have made in this very flawed life of mine. I love you… so much. May the One for whose sake you love, care and provide for me, Loves, Cares and Provides for you most! Ameen!
